VILABOT es una competición de robótica que tiene como objetivo el impulsar el uso de la robótica en centros educativos de la provincia deCastellón y de la Comunidad Valenciana. Tendrá lugar el 17 de abril de La competición está organizada conjuntamente por el centro educativo Fundación Flors y Ayuntamiento de Vila-real.

Si tu centro está en Vila-real y nunca habéis trabajado con robótica no te preocupes, el ayuntamiento te ayudará con el material y con la formación que puedan necesitar los docentes. En ese caso infórmate en el apartado de ayuda.

La robótica en educación fomenta las vocaciones científicas y tecnológicas entre los jóvenes. Los alumnos se enfrentan a problemas desconocidos, para ello tienen que adquirir nuevos conocimientos, trabajar en equipo, y ser creativos para implementar la mejor solución. Todas ellas habilidades y capacidades importantes para el mundo de hoy y del futuro. Con la robótica el alumno se convierte en un ser activo en clase y aprende divirtiéndose.

En la competición VILABOT los alumnos de edades entre 6 y 17 años podrán diseñar, construir y programar un robot autónomo creado con piezas de LEGO o de cualquier otra forma para superar los dos retos que se proponen:

También se separan los competidores según su edad en dos categorías: de 6 a 11 años (primaria) y de 12 a 17 años (secundaria).
