The Vast Project

I&#;ve been invited to participate in an exciting arts project in September, along with 20 or so other Australian artists of all disciplines, including some well-known musicians. We are going to spend a few days in the ghost town of Cossack, just south of Karratha on the Pilbara coast &#; and create. There are no specific requirements, we just absorb and respond to the vibe of the place. Collaboration is encouraged, and the musos will produce an album of new music.

I&#;m going to create an installation in one of the restored stone buildings, and collaborate on a photographic work with Melbourne artist Baby Guerilla. We were lucky to have visited the site earlier this year, to get some inspiration, with local artist/musician Qynn, a couple of Melbourne musos and a luthier from Perth.

I&#;m responding to the vast scale and beauty of the Pilbara with an installation of small hand-made clay forms, arranged in a way that plays with scale, the size and weight of my body.

Цитрамон является комбинированным лекарственным средством, содержащим ацетилсалициловую кислоту (далее по тексту АСК), парацетамол и кофеин. Каждая составляющая препарата несет определенную функциональную нагрузку:

• АСК оказывает противовоспалительное и жаропонижающее действие, снижает болевой синдром, стимулирует кровообращение, купирует процесс тромбообразования;
• Данное лекарство выступает в качестве анальгетика и жаропонижающего с невысоким противовоспалительным эффектом;
• кофеин снимает спазм с сосудов, способствуя нормализации кровообращения, стимулирует рефлекторную возбудимость спинного мозга, снижает чувство сонливости и усталости, повышая работоспособность.

На упаковках одних производителей указано, что цитрамон – анальгетик, другие позиционируют его как жаропонижающий и болеутоляющее лекарственное средство.

Парацетамол – препарат с одноименным активным веществом, доля которого составляет мг. Это единичная доза приема для взрослых и детей от 6 лет. Парацетамол оказывает болеутоляющее воздействие, повышая порог возбудимости болевых центров, но считается эффективным анальгетиком только при слабом или умеренном болевом синдроме. Рекомендуется как жаропонижающее для пациентов с противопоказаниями к приему лекарственных средств, содержащих АСК, больных бронхиальной астмой, язвенной болезнью и детей с вирусными инфекциями.

Если задать в поисковике вопрос, что лучше принять от высокой температуры, на первом месте среди рекомендуемых средств будет парацетамол. А перечень самых эффективных лекарств от головной боли открывает цитрамон.

Наиболее эффективное лекарственное средство

Эффективность того или иного лекарственного средства нужно оценивать по совокупности факторов. Лекарственное средство принесет максимальную пользу, если оно принимается по назначению лечащего врача в соответствии с рекомендациями. И парацетамол, и цитрамон рекомендуют при высокой температуре и боли, однако, как было указано выше, первый препарат более эффективен в качестве жаропонижающего, а второй – анальгетика.

Цитрамон можно рассматривать, как улучшенную версию парацетамола. АСК, входящая в его состав усиливает обезболивающие и жаропонижающие свойства и разжижает кровь. Кофеин, в свою очередь, действует возбуждающе, оказывая влияние на сердечный ритм и расширяя кровеносные сосуды. Чистый парацетамол не будет эффективен при борьбе с головной болью, вызванной пониженным давлением, а Цитрамон быстро поможет решить проблему, благодаря кофеину. Однако для пациентов, страдающих гипертонией, и проблемами с ЖКТ, средства, содержащие кофеин и АСК противопоказаны.

Важно!!! Цитрамон не может быть назначен женщинам во время беременности и кормления грудью, детям младше 15 лет, а также, пациентам с гемофилией и повышенной нервной возбудимостью.

Чистый парацетамол более эффективен при борьбе с лихорадкой и болевыми ощущениями, вызванными повышенной температурой. Его жаропонижающие свойства обусловлены влиянием активного вещества на центр терморегуляции и биологически активные вещества, синтез которых приводит к появлению болевого синдрома. Эффективность лекарственного средства ничуть не меньше, чем у аспирина, однако отличии от АСК он обладает рядом преимуществ:

1. не раздражает ЖКТ и не нарушает водно-солевой баланс;
2. не влияет на свертываемость крови;
3. менее токсичен;
4. быстро нормализует температуру тела;
5. имеет несколько форм выпуска.

Препарат объединяет эти средства и делает их практически аналогами друг друга. Оба лекарственных средства можно назвать эффективными, если применять их по назначению врача с учетом индивидуальных особенностей пациента. Если принять тот факт, что цитрамон лучший анальгетик, а парацетамол – жаропонижающее, можно ли принимать их вместе, чтобы гарантированно решить проблему головной боли и температуры?

Особенности приема цитрамона и парацетамола одновременно от температуры

Парацетамол – активное вещество, которое используется в обоих препаратах. Доля его содержания в парацетамоле составляет от до мг в зависимости от форм впуска, а в Цитрамоне – от до мг. Максимальная разовая доза, парацетамола, разрешенная к приему для взрослого человека составляет мг. Дневная дозировка не должна превышать мг. Таким образом, если пациент сразу примет оба препарата, ничего страшного не произойдет. Тем не менее, не следует одновременно принимать парацетамол и цитрамон. Рекомендуется использовать жаропонижающее средство через 2 часа после болеутоляющего.

Одновременный прием обоих препаратов чреват передозировкой. Первыми симптомами превышения допустимых норм будут головокружение, тошнота, рвота, боли в эпигастральной области. При острой интоксикации уже через 36 часов после применения будут наблюдаться:

1. понижение температуры и артериального давления;
2. снижение уровня глюкозы и тромбоцитов в крови;
3. ярко выраженные боли в брюшной полости;
4. обильное потовыделение, судороги, возможно впадение в коматозное состояние.

Любое лекарство при нарушении инструкций по применению может превратиться в яд, поэтому комбинировать медикаменты с идентичным активным веществом самостоятельно все-таки не желательно. В случае сильной головной боли, вызванной повышенной температурой лучше принять 2 таблетки цитрамона. Если применение медикаментов не дает должного результата, лучше обратиться к врачу.

Отличие цитрамона от парацетамола

Парацетамол и Цитрамон имеют один общий действующий компонент. Оба лекарственных средства позиционируются как анальгетики и жаропонижающие. Основное различие между этими препаратами заключается в их действии на организм. Цитрамон считается более эффективным при лечении головных болей, вызванных нарушение кровяного давления, но проигрывает парацетамолу, как жаропонижающее средство.

В чем еще разница между этими лекарственными средствами? У обоих препаратов есть противопоказания, но в отличие от цитрамона, парацетамол можно давать детям. Разработаны различные формы выпуска, которые позволяют подобрать препарат для пациентов любой возрастной категории:

• сироп: для взрослых и детей с массой тела от 60 кг. Систематический прием противопоказан пациентам, страдающим сахарным диабетом;
• капсулы: содержит мг действующего вещества, для взрослых и детей от 10 лет. Суточная доза не должна превышать мг активного вещества;
• растворимые таблетки-шипучки: содержат мг активного вещества. Единовременная максимальная доза мг, суточная – мг. Действует гораздо быстрее таблеток;
• суппозитории: есть свечи для детей в возрасте от 1 до 3 лет с содержанием действующего вещества всего мг;
• детский вариант &#; суспензия: содержание активного вещества мг. Можно давать грудным детям уже на втором месяце жизни.

Парацетамол можно принимать на I и II триместрах беременности, соблюдая рекомендации врача. Нет противопоказаний по приему препарата в период лактации, поскольку в грудное молоко проникает не более 1% действующего вещества.

Состав цитрамона

Цитрамон это уже не столько препарат, сколько бренд линейки жаропонижающих, объединенных составом основных действующих компонентов. Изначально это лекарственное средство имело следующий состав:

1. АСК – 0,24г
2. фенацетин – 0,18г
3. кофеин – 0,03г
4. какао – 0,г
5. лимонная кислота – 0,02г

Впоследствии фенацетин был заменен на парацетамол. Это было связано с наличием серьезных побочных эффектов. В линейке лекарственных средств, производимых различными фармацевтическими компаниями под единым брендом Цитрамон, остался следующий базовый состав: аспирин, парацетамол, кофеин. Сейчас на фармацевтическом рынке представлено несколько видов этого препарата: Цитрамон П, Форте, Дарница и Ультра. Они отличаются процентом содержания основных действующих веществ и набором вспомогательных компонентов. Инструкции по применения практически не отличаются, ровно, как и противопоказания для приема цитрамона.

Внимание!!! Ни цитрамон, ни парацетамол не рекомендуется использовать для борьбы с головной болью, вызванной похмельным синдромом. Сначала кажется, что таблетки помогают, но это обманчивое ощущение. Оба препарата усиливают токсичное влияние алкоголя на организм, в разы увеличивая нагрузку на печень. Поэтому лечить простуду спиртовыми настоями и при этом пытаться унять головную боль с помощью анальгетиков, содержащих аспирин и парацетамол опасно для здоровья.

ONE of the most memorable points of the movie for me was watching Folarin Falana (Falz)’s character performin his hit single at Chief Daddy’s burial reception ceremony using the famous “Who is your daddy?” line.

Chief Daddy remains one of the highest grossing Nollywood movies. Big ups to Niyi Akinmolayan for directing this one, he was able to pull off a good, humorous and well cast movie.

Yes, it had its numerous flaws but that did not make the movie any less fun to watch, and no matter how critical one might choose to be, the movie does have its moments.

Let me examine the movie&#;s pros and cons

In an effort to increase publicity, the movie casts a lot of Big Actors without giving upcoming ones the time of day. This has been a trend in the new big budget Nollywood movies of today. If we don’t groom the new actors and let them mix with the old, how do we promote continuity?

It played well into the strength of most of the successful Nollywood franchises by delivering a satisfyingly humorous goalma.org the genius Nigerian comedian Nkem Owoh and the amusing presence of Patience Ozokwor, Falz (with the British accent) and Funke Akindele (always guiding), to the comical role of Nedu and Chigul, this movie left some fans laughing with tears in their eyes.

2. Stellar performances from actors.
Joke Silva as usual gave a beautiful performance of a woman torn between her love for her husband and her anger towards him. Rachael Oniga was the woman with the plan, her role as the Chief’s Sister was well portrayed as she knew the right time to be angry and to smile. Ini Edo did more than show off her sensuality. Mawuli Gavor, the wife turned daughter (or was it vice versa), and even MI’s cameo was worth remembering.

3. Directing
Niyi did well with this one, using most of the actors to their full potential. Visuals were beautiful, the plot twist at the end was fair, although it could have been better. The movie lost its energy towards the end, but he can easily get a B for the effort.

Africa is at a crossroads. Six of the world’s ten fastest-growing economies are now located in the region, and the continent’s GDP is expected to grow at a rate of % this year, up from % in

Yet Africa’s economic growth has not been accompanied by a commensurate level of job creation, which has particularly negative implications for women and young people. In fact, today’s jobless growth could even reverse the gains made in eradicating poverty in recent years.

The problem is that Africa’s growth, while impressive, has been volatile, because it has been driven mainly by high commodity prices, rather than by manufacturing. The economic effects of this imbalance should not be underestimated. Among other things, it explains why a region that produces about 75% of the world’s cocoa accounts for just 5% of the nearly $ billion annual chocolate market.

But such pronouncements are meaningless in the absence of concrete action. To change the region’s economic trajectory, African policymakers must focus on three key areas: industrial policies, infrastructure financing, and leadership.

We now know that industrial policies can be effective in boosting growth. The question is whether states possess the capacity to implement the policies they design. If they do, they can channel resources toward industry and marshal available technologies to create synergy between the agriculture and manufacturing sectors.

A number of African countries have already moved in this direction. Ethiopia, for example, has created special economic zones, where it has lowered production costs by investing in infrastructure. As a result, the country has emerged as Africa’s largest hub for textile manufacturing, attracting major players like H&M and Primark. Similarly, Rwanda’s Kigali Special Economic Zone, which exempts firms from taxes for ten years, has attracted a $20 million investment from Volkswagen for a new vehicle-assembly plant.

But industrialization cannot happen without power, roads, and railways, which is why infrastructure must be a key focus. As of now, the AfDB pegs Africa’s infrastructure gap at $– billion per year. Closing it will require not just more financing, but also more innovative thinking, particularly concerning joint public-private efforts.

To that end, the AfDB has expanded its portfolio for financing new infrastructure projects in several countries. As part of our “New Deal on Energy for Africa,” we have scaled up investment in renewable energy and put $ million toward developing two solar-power plants in Morocco. In Côte d’Ivoire, where demand for energy is surging by % annually, we are investing $60 million to bring a new megawatt hydropower plant onstream.

African countries should make such investments now to reap the demographic dividend of the continent’s population bulge in the years ahead. As manufacturing activities expand, they will need to be supported by more robust knowledge- and skill-based economies, which will require higher investment in education to boost technical and vocational skills and training.

No country has ever undergone economic modernization without industry. But, more to the point, no functional industrial sector has ever emerged in the absence of strong, committed leadership. Consider Mauritius, which in the s was a low-income mono-crop economy with a per capita GDP of just under $ Today, Mauritius is an upper-middle-income country with a more diversified economy and a per capita GDP of around $9, It is often cited as a model of economic success in Africa.

How did this come about? As former Mauritian Prime Minister and President Anerood Jugnauth has put it, “There is no miracle. But it now stands as an example of what committed leadership can accomplish. Other African countries would do well to emulate it as they pursue their own economic transformations.

All told, Africa is well placed to seize many of the opportunities that the global economy offers emerging markets. It already has the resources and the labour; now it needs committed leaders like Jugnauth who will implement the right policies.
